Design students, start your motors! Starting with 2D designs, students will create 3D constructions with found objects, wood, wire, and other cool stuff. Then we'll make them move with engines like pull-strings, battery powered, and wind-up motors and more!

8 classes : $240 + $20 materials fee (includes sketchbook and portfolio)

Free after-school pick-up from P.S. 107 CLASSIC ANIMATION MACHINES
[grades K-2 : Drop-off]

We go to the roots of animation and make moving cartoons - without cameras or computers! Kids will explore classic cameraless animation devices, such as flipbooks, painting on film, zoetropes and many other scopes and tropes! We'll learn about the history of animation, and watch some examples. And we'll look at storytelling through the use of storyboards, and then put our characters into motion.

Free after-school pick-up from P.S. 107 TEXTILE DESIGN
[grades 2-5 : Drop-off]

Dress up your bed and sleep in style! Students will create their own fabrics, sheets and pillow cases using different techniques: transfer printing, photo transfers, stenciling, stamping, monoprinting and more. We'll look at production textiles for inspiration, concept out our projects, and get to work on our own fabulous fabrics.

8 classes : $320 + $25 materials fee (includes sketchbook and portfolio)

WEDNESDAYS : 3:30pm-5:30pm

April 28-June 16

Free after-school pick-up from P.S. 107 Refund policy: Refunds will only be given up to two weeks before the first day of class.

Make-up policy: Students in classes for 18m-4 year olds can attend one make-up class per session. You must make arrangements ahead of time. Make-up dates are set by Brooklyn Design Lab. Make-up classes are mixed age and may or may not include the same materials from your class.

Due to the nature of our courses and small class size, there are NO MAKE-UPS in classes and workshops for grades K-6 and grown-ups.

Class cancellation policy: In the event Brooklyn Design Lab cancels your registered class, you will be notified as soon as possible and refunded.
