MINI LAB FOR STUDENTS IN GRADES 3-6 February 15-19, 2010 * Sessions run from 9am-3pm, Mon-Fri * Small group setting, limited to 6 students per week * Students share and discuss their work each class * Work will be exhibited in the BDL window * Students build and keep a portfolio of their work Mini Lab classes are intensive weeklong sessions of art-making and exploring process. Half of each class day will be devoted to observational drawing. The second half will focus on art techniques such as collage, painting, printmaking, and sculpture. We will take trips to museums, parks, and other public spaces for inspiration, research, and new ideas. Students will share and discuss their work every day. Projects vary in Mini Lab and Summer Lab weeks.

Make-up policy: Students in classes for 18m-4 year olds can attend one make-up class per session. You must make arrangements ahead of time. Make-up dates are set by Brooklyn Design Lab. Make-up classes are mixed age and may or may not include the same materials from your class. Due to the nature of our courses and small class size, there are NO MAKE-UPS in classes and workshops for grades K-6 and grown-ups.
Class cancellation policy: In the event Brooklyn Design Lab cancels your registered class, you will be notified as soon as possible and refunded.
